Terms of Service
Last updated: August 12, 2026
The short version
Atlas Youth surfaces aggregated, estimated, and AI-assisted signals about online youth culture. It is context to think with — not verified fact, not research findings, and not advice about any specific child. Verify anything important before acting on it, and use your own judgment. Atlas Youth is not liable for decisions made based on the Service.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Atlas Youth AI website, applications, reports, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Atlas Youth AI ("Atlas Youth", "we", "us").
By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a school, district, company, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Who may use the Service
The Service is intended for adults — parents, caregivers, educators, school leaders, researchers, and organizations. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
The Service is not designed for use by children, and it is not a parental-control, monitoring, filtering, or child-safety product.
3. Nature of the information — important
Atlas Youth provides aggregated cultural and behavioral trend intelligence, editorial context, and AI-assisted summaries. The Service is informational and educational only.
You acknowledge and agree to the following about all content in the Service, including trend rankings, growth percentages, slang definitions, platform signals, charts, reports, and AI-generated commentary:
- It is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, current, verified, or free of error, and should not be treated as established fact.
- It is generated in part by automated systems, statistical estimates, third-party sources, and large language models, all of which can be wrong, biased, outdated, or produce fabricated details.
- Numbers such as growth rates, popularity scores, rankings, sample indicators, and time windows are directional estimates, not measurements, and may change or be restated without notice.
- It describes patterns observed in aggregate culture. It does not describe, predict, or diagnose any individual child, student, family, classroom, or community.
- It is not professional advice. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, educational, legal, financial, safety, or investigative advice, and no professional relationship is created by your use of the Service.
- Third-party names, platforms, creators, books, shows, songs, and games referenced in the Service are used for identification and commentary only and do not imply endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship in either direction.
4. Your responsibility for decisions
You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act on anything you see in the Service. Before making any decision that could affect a child, student, employee, curriculum, policy, publication, or the public, you must independently verify the underlying information and, where appropriate, consult a qualified professional.
Do not rely on the Service for urgent, clinical, or safety-critical situations. If you believe a young person is in danger or in crisis, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource immediately.
5. Reports, exports, and republishing
Reports, covers, exports, and other generated materials are produced from the same estimated and AI-assisted inputs described above. If you republish, present, or distribute them — internally, to families, to clients, or publicly — you do so at your own risk and are responsible for reviewing them for accuracy, appropriateness, attribution, and compliance with any rules that apply to you.
You may not present Atlas Youth output as peer-reviewed research, as a certified assessment, or as originating from any organization other than Atlas Youth.
6. Accounts and acceptable use
- Keep your login credentials confidential and accurate; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Do not share, resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to anyone outside your subscription's scope.
- Do not scrape, crawl, bulk-export, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive our models, prompts, datasets, or source code.
- Do not use the Service to surveil, profile, target, or make automated determinations about any individual person.
- Do not upload unlawful content, personal data about children, or content you lack the rights to submit.
- Do not interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
7. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- Paid memberships are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis through our payment processor.
- Where a free trial is offered, a valid payment method is required and the subscription automatically converts to a paid membership at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide partial-period credits.
- We may change prices, plan contents, or usage limits with notice for future billing periods.
- Usage limits (such as monthly AI report allowances) are enforced per billing period and do not roll over.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, editorial framing, and compiled datasets, is owned by Atlas Youth and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms and your active subscription, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service and its outputs for your own internal, educational, or professional purposes.
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service and grant us a license to host and process it in order to operate and improve the Service.
9. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, add, or discontinue features, data sources, methodologies, or the Service as a whole at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, retention of historical data, or continuity of any specific metric, module, or dataset.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATLAS YOUTH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT ANY INSIGHT, ESTIMATE, DEFINITION, OR AI OUTPUT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSES.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATLAS YOUTH AND ITS FOUNDERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, PARTNERS, LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, REPUTATION, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE.
THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OUTDATED, OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT; FROM RELIANCE ON ANY TREND, METRIC, DEFINITION, OR REPORT; OR FROM ANY DECISION, CONVERSATION, INTERVENTION, PUBLICATION, DISCIPLINARY ACTION, OR POLICY YOU BASE ON THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO ATLAS YOUTH IN THE THREE MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In that case our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Atlas Youth and its personnel from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or your publication, distribution, or application of any Service output.
13. Third-party sources and services
The Service references and incorporates third-party platforms, public sources, community-contributed definitions, research summaries, model providers, and payment infrastructure. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, terms, or practices.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access — with or without notice — if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the Service. Sections concerning content disclaimers, intellectual property, warranties, liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Atlas Youth agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California for any dispute not subject to another agreed process, and each party waives any objection to venue there.
Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through our contact page.
